The Project Board is the heart of the Dom24h demonstration project, and the ideas hub of the strategic partnership between 12 development-focused Slovenian companies. The Board holds regular monthly meetings to ensure that the project follows the timeline of activities and goals, that separate technological solutions are integrated into a functioning home/building, and that this results in achieving the set goals. Regular meetings also allow the Board to promptly respond to any problems and potential holdups in the diverse range of the project’s activities, and immediately start looking for the best answers and solutions. 

The meetings are spent reviewing the work done, discussing any ambiguities or communication noise, looking for suitable solutions and planning the steps to be taken in the following month or two. The Project Board meetings are a place to present and discuss different opinions, ideas, visions and plans for Dom24h, even (in fact, primarily) beyond the period of funding for the project (which expires on 31 March 2022). The partners have recognised the Dom24h project as an ambitious and strategically important development project, and one which has a great deal of potential with respect to new business models.

The Project Board meets at the partners’ locations. This allows each partner to present aspects of their work that lie beyond the parameters of the Dom24h project. It also allows partners to get to know each other better and improve their mutual understanding. This results in more efficient project activities, and stronger and more committed collaboration between partners, creating, in turn, amazing synergistic effects in the Dom24h strategic partnership. So far, the meetings have been held at Marles hiše Maribor, d.o.o., Petrol, d.d., Ljubljana, Alples, d.d., Železniki and Gorenje gospodinjski aparati, d.o.o. One of the meetings was held at the TECES: SYeNERGY event in the charming medieval environment of Ptuj’s Dominican Monastery. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 epidemic has disturbed these very constructive meetings, which have been temporarily moved online. We hope, though, that things will go back to normal soon. No matter what happens, however, the synergy of the Dom24h strategic partnership will not dwindle and will continue to shine brightly.
